a composite function can be thought of as substituting one function into another. In this case, we have f(x) and rather than evaluating it at a specific value (ie. find f(4)) where we simply replace every value of x with 4 and simplify, we are now finding f( g(x) ), so everywhere we had an x, we now put in g(x). Since we are told that g(x)=2x-1, then we will substitute that in for x. So if the original function is
