Question 480662: Hi i'm having a little trouble with a section in my math packet for the summer. I already had help on a similar problem but im still having trouble. I have to determine the domain and range for y = sqrt2x-1. Thanks for your help!
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
determine the domain and range for y = sqrt(2x-1)
-----
Domain = ?
The radicand (2x-1) cannot be negative.
Solve 2x-1 >= 0
2x >= 1
x >= 1/2
-----
Domain: All Real Numbers greater than or equal to 1/2.
==========================================================
Range = ?
The sqrt cannot be negative:
------
Range: All Real Numbers greater than or equal to 0.
