Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
9*8 x y
_________
2x y*36
------------------
Cancel the common factor(s): x and y
----
= (9*8)/(2*36)
----
Cancel 9 with 36 to get:
----
= 8/(2*4)
---
Cancel 8 with 2*4 to get:
----
= 1
