Question 45064: Please help to show work.
Find the x and y intercepts of the following function.
y =(x+5)(x-3)

Answer by Nate(3500)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y-intercept:
y = (x + 5)(x - 3)
y = (0 + 5)(0 - 3)
y = (5)(-3)
y = -15
x-intercept:
0 = (x + 5)(x - 3)
x + 5 = 0
x = -5
and
x - 3 = 0
x = 3
