G(f(x)) means take what is in f(x) and put it into g. If we do this then we get So what does it mean for this function to be undefined? We have a couple things we need to worry about. Since this is a rational function (a fraction), we need to worry about dividing by 0. What values make this function have division by 0? Well set x+6 =0. So x = -6. We also cannot have the square root of a negative value. So set x+6 <0. x < -6. Since x cannot equal -6 or even be less than it, then all values greater than -6 is the correct domain.

Which of the following is the domain of the function G(F(x))?
F(x) = x + 6,
Domain of F is "all Real Numbers"
Its Range is also "all Real Numbers"
which are handed on to "G"
----
G(y) = 4/(square root(x)
----------------
G(F(x)) = G(x+6) = 4/sqrt(x+6)
------------
Note: x+6 must be >= 0
x must be >= -6
