Denominators must NEVER equal zero! Therefore, x cannot equal 1. The value of x=1 must be excluded from the domain.

Anything divided by zero is undefined.

Look at the denominator. (x - 1) can not equal zero.
x - 1 = 0
x = 1 is excluded from your domain
