: Please show me how to solve this
Average cost of skateboards. The cost , in dollars of producing x skateboards is given by
C(x) = 5.75x + 34,200
The average cost per skateboards is given by
C(x)= C(x)/x = 5.75 + 34,200/x
Find the average cost per skateboard, to the nearest cent of producing 5,000 and 50000 skateboards.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Ok... the total cost of producing 5,000 skateboards would be:
C(5000) = 5.75(5000) + 34,200
C(5000)= 28,750+34200
Cost of producing 5,000 skateboards= $62,950
Avg. cost per skateboard = 62950/5000= $12.59
Ok now for producing 50,000 skateboards... i hope you are understanding what I am doing:
c(50000)= 5.75(50000)+ 34,200
C(50000)= 287500+ 34200
Cost of producing 50,000 skateboards= 321,700
Avg. cost per bike= 321,700/ 50,000= $6.434= $6.43
I think my answers are correct but you may want to make sure.
