Answer by nerdybill(7384) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Starting with:
replace h(x) with a y:
switch the variables x for y and y for x:
solve for y:
.
So, your inverse would be:

inverse of this function: h(x)=(6x-5)/2
-----------------
y = (6x-5)/2
---
1st: Interchange x and y:
x = (6y-5)/2
---
2nd: Solve for "y":
6y-5 = 2x
6y= 2x+5
y = (2x+5)/6
---
That is the inverse.
