you revise well in a manner that suits you so that you remember. Usually condense the formulae and rules etc onto a sheet of paper...be as rough and untidy as you like: who cares. The process of condensing your textbook or notes onto one piece of paper (the smallest you can) will get your head working remembering the topics.

Then do practice questions..repetition of questions until the method is drummed into your head. Then do past papers to familiarise yourself with the standard of question.

Or do something completely different that works for you. The above was my method which worked for me.
