Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The table shows some values for the function f.
x -2 0 2 4
f (x) 7 4 1 -2
What is the value of f -1 (-2) ?
---------------
Let f^-1(-2) = x
Then f[f^-1(-2)] = f(x)
And -2 = f(x)
So x = 4
-------------------------------
f^-1(-2) = 4
