Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How do you solve:
What is the domain and range of f(x) = (x-5)^2 - 3?
---
Domain: x can have any value so the domain is All Real Numbers or (-inf,+inf).
-----
Range:
The lowest value (x-5)^2 can have is zero; that occurs when x = 5.
When you subtract 3 the lowest value y can have is -3.
So the Range is "All Real Numbers >= -3" or [-3,inf).
