Question 241950: domain of this function: (8x^2) / (2x^2 - 2)
and what are the horizontal/Vertical asymptotes of the same function?
Answer by edjones(8007) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(8x^2) / (2x^2 - 2)
domain: all real numbers except x=1, x=-1 because those would cause division by zero which is not allowed.
vertical asymptotes: x=1, x=-1
horizontal asymptote: when the powers of the leading number of the numerator and denominator are equal then divide the leading coefficients to find the horizontal asymptote. 8/2=4
