Question 219643: I am trying to help my daughter with homework. Its been 15 years out of school. Need help remembering!!! Please walk through to understand. what is the domain of y=1/3x
Answer by rfer(16322) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Domain is the set of inputs to a funtion, this is x.
The range is y and is dependent on the value of x.
y=1/3x
y=1/3(3)
y=1/3*3/1=3/3=1
so if x=3, y will =1

I hope that helps.
