Find the x- and y-intercepts for:

The way to find th x-intercept is to set y=0 and solve for x.
Similarly, the way to find the y-intercept is to set x=0 and solve for y.
Set x=0.

Multiply both sides by -1.

The y-intercept is at (0, -5).
Set y=o.
Divide both sides by 2.

The x-intercept is at (5/2, 0)
Confirm this on the graph of this equation:
