Question 207662: could someone please help with these problems.I may have trouble writing them the correct way,so just ask if you don't understand what I'm writing.
rewrite using fractional exponents
1.5 sqrt x
2. sqrt(with a 4 in the v of the sqrt symbol))x + 3 sqrt(again with a 4 in the v)x
3.(sqrt(with 3 in the v of the sqrt symbol)2 (sqrt(with 3 in the v of the sqrt symbol)ab)
4. sqrt4mn/a^2b^2
once again thanks for the help and please write if more clarification is needed.hagd,Sarah

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
rewrite using fractional exponents
1.5 sqrt x
5*x^(1/2)
------------------
2. sqrt(with a 4 in the v of the sqrt symbol))x + 3 sqrt(again with a 4 in the v)x
x^(1/4) + 3 x^(1/4) = 4x^(1/4)
-----------------------------------
3.(sqrt(with 3 in the v of the sqrt symbol)2 (sqrt(with 3 in the v of the sqrt symbol)ab)
2^(1/3)*(ab)^(1/3) = (2ab)^(1/3)
-----------------------------------
4. sqrt[4mn/a^2b^2]
= (2/ab)(mn)^(1/2)
