Question 196876: What is the function rule for both of these input-output boxes? I am a Mom of a 6th grader trying to help her daughter learn to figure out these problems on her own. However, we are both stumped on these two:
Input x 1,2,3,4,5,6
Output y 3,2,1,0,-1,-2 Is the answer 'subtract multiples of 2'? and
Input x 1,2,3,4,5,6
output y 1,3,5,7,9,11 Is the answer 'add 0,1,2,3,4,5 to each input x'?
Thank you so much....I REALLY appreciate this.
