Question 180166: The lenght of a rectangular boat shed must be 4 meters more than the width, and the perimeter must be at least 112 meters. What is the range of values for the width.
Exactly 26 meters
At least 26 meters
At most 26 meters
Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If the width were exactly 26 meters, then the length would be 30 meters (4 larger) and the perimeter would be
exactly.
That tells us that if the width were less than 26 meters, the perimeter would be less than 112.
But the perimeter must be at least 112, in other words, greater than or equal to 112.
So which of your answers fits this condition?
