slope intercept form is y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept
the equation you must start out with is y-k=m(x-h) where m is the slope and (h,k) is a point on the line. We are given the point(-1,2) and slope m=4
:
so y-2=4(x-(-1)) now we need to distribute the right side
:
y-2=4x+4....add 2 to each side
