b. what is the cost of the magazine subscription?

40.70-34.80=5.90
5.90/2=2.95

b) 34.80-3(2.95)=$25.95

The way the problem is stated is confusing to me, but I think
I know what is meant
Let = subscription price
Let = price of each article read over 25

Subtract (1) from (2)


Substitute this in (1)
