Question 160321: How do you completely factor: x^2 + 12xy + 35y^2? What's the answer?
Answer by KnightOwlTutor(293) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I would first find out what 2 numbers that when multiplied together =35 and when added together gives you 12. First off I think 7 and 5. 7x5=35 and when you add then together you get 12.
(x+7y)(x+5y)
You can double check by using the FOIL method and you will get the original equation.
