Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The domain of the function f/g for f(x)=square root (x-2) and g(x)=square root (x+4) is:
------------
f/g = [sqrt(x-2)]/[sqrt(x+4)]
Domain is restricted:
Denominator requires x+4>0 implies that x>-4
Numerator requires x-2 >= 0 implies x >= 2
----------------------------------------
Since both conditions must be met x must be >=2 is the domain.
