put this solution on YOUR website!I'm not exactly sure, but I think probably the base function for the function f(x)= 2x^3 + 4 would be f(x) = x^3.
Then you graph the base function, and from that you figure out what would happen to the graph if you multiplied it by 2 (answer, it essentially makes the graph "twice" as steep!), and then what is the effect of adding +4(answer, it moves the graph up 4 units on the graph!) to obtain f(x)= 2x^3 + 4. So, it should be steeper, and up 4 units. Check it out with the following graphs.
