Question 11815: Please help me try and understand how to do this problem. I am not sure how to go about it. My book gives horrible examples.
Given: f(x) = -2/3 x + 15
x when f(x) = 26
Answer by longjonsilver(2297) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x) = -2/3 x + 15
so, when f(x) = 26, we have 26 = -(2/3)x + 15
11 = -(2/3)x
or
(2/3)x = -11
2x = -33
x = -33/2
