Answer by roxy9229(32) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-5r-6+4r=-r+2
combine like terms
-r-6=-r+2
add r to both sides
-6=-2r+2
subtract 2 from both sides
-8=-2r
divide both sides by -2
4=r
r=4

the solution by Roxy is wrong.
-5r - 6 + 4r = -r + 2
-r - 6 = -r + 2
Adding r to both sides gives
-6 = 2
which is not true... there is something wrong with your equation. Please check. However, definitely ignore the other solution, as the maths is wrong
