Question 1126313: find the zeros of the function f(x)=3x-1+1/x+1
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x)=3x-1+1/(x+1) = 0
Notice I added parentheses. You should do that.
3x-1+1/(x+1) = 0
Multiply thru by x+1
3x*(x+1) - (x+1) + 1 = 0
3x^2 + 2x = 0
x = 0
x = -2/3
