hi!
To begin with, we have to understand what a function means. A function is a relation in which each element of the domain is paired with exactly one element of the range. For example if we had (1,5), (6,2), and (3,9) and we arrange them in a domain and range order 1 2 One pairs with 5 exactly
3 5 one time. 6 pairs with 2
6 9 exactly one time. 3 pairs
with 9 exactly one time. But lets say if we had (1,1) (6,7) and (3,1) we would have 1 1 One pairs with 1 once. 6 pairs 7 one time. But 3 pairs with one too,
3 7 which doesn't make them a function. So your answer
6 wouldn't be a function because 1 and x both go into 2 twice.
