However, we know that "the x-intercept of f(x) is 2" meaning that f(2) = 0. Plug in x = 2 and it leads to the output y = 0. Therefore the point (2,0) is on the graph f(x)
When dealing with f(x+5), we shift the function curve 5 units to the left. Therefore (2,0) will become (-3,0)
The point (-3,0) is the x intercept of f(x+5). Put another way, the x intercept of f(x+5) is -3.
