Domain is all x except x=1 (there, the denominator is 0).
When x is large negative, this approaches -1
When x is large positive, this approaches -1
When x approaches 1 from the negative side, this becomes - divided by + or negative 1; when x approaches 1 from the positive side, this becomes +/- or minus 1. The range is (-oo,-1) U (-1,oo). The function can never equal -1, because x/(1-x)=-1 means that x=x-1, which has no solution.
