Question 1056779: When Jack went to the movie he paid $8 for his popcorn and $4 for each additional order of popcorn. If y represents the total cost and x represents the number of popcorn orders, what is the function rule that describes this pattern?

Unclear or ambiguous. No way to know how many popcorn orders were allowed in the first $8 purchase. Was it one; was it two, was it three? The only pattern you can make is for anything after the first $8 part. Just for anything after, is y=4x.
