Question 91275: if you are selling pizza, at a party, with 2000 families, and the pizza costs six dollars, you have no idea how many will be sold, and you have an option of selling 1/8 of a pizza for 3.40, or 1/10 of a pizza for 2.80, which should you choose to maximize your profits the most?
I came up with ten, but I am not sure, can you please help me?

P(x) = 2.25x - 7000
(a) What is her profit if she sells 2000 units?
(b) What is her profit if she sells 5000 units?
(c) What is the break-even point for sales?

If you knew how much each item cost and how much they spent, then you could easily figure out how many people are in the class. But I am telling you that YOU ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH INFORMATION and there is only one answer, assuming that the items cost more than one penny.
How many students were in the class, how much did each of them spend, and how much did the class spend all together?
