Question 972839: if x= root7/ 5 and 5/x = p root7 , then find the value of p
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
p=(25/7)
x= sqrt(7)/5
substitute into second equation.
{5/(sqrt 7/5)}=p sqrt (7)
invert and multiply
(25/sqrt (7))=p (sqrt (7))
multiply both sides by sqrt (7)
25 =7p
divide by 7
(25/7)=p
Check
sqrt (7)=2.65
x=2.65/5, or 0.53
5/0.53 is 9.45
(25/7)*2.65=9.46
This is the same given that sqrt (7) is being rounded.
