Her gross pay was $572. What was her hourly rate?
:
let h = the hourly rate
then
1.5h = the overtime rate
:
reg pay + overtime pay = total pay
40h + 8(1.5h) = 572
40h + 12h = 572
52h = 572
h = 572/12
h = $11
