Question 934311: Solve the system of equations algebraically.
y = 2x + 2
4x - y = -6

Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y= 2x + 2
4x - y = -6
replace y with (2x+2)
4x-(2x+2)=-6
4x-2x-2=-6
2x=-6+2
2x=-4
x=-4/2
x=-2 ans.
y=2*-2+2
y=-4+2
y=-2 ans.
proof:
4*-2-(-2)=-6
-8+2=-6
-6=-6
