Question 781121: How do you solve this problem do i need to switch the signs (√20 +√5)/√10
Answer by rothauserc(4718) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
multiply the numerator and the denominator by the square root of 10, we then get
(square root (200) + square root (50)) / 10
(10*square root(2) + 5* square root (2)) / 10
divide numerator and denominator by 5
(2*square root(2) + square root (2)) / 2
3*square root(2) / 2 = 2.12
