Hi my name is Joseph, I have been trying to figure out this problem for a while now, but I am not sure what formula would be best to use here. In fact, I don't even have any formulas to choose from! Thank you for any help you can give me!

How much would he have to sell in a month if he needed to have a monthly income of $3000?
:
Let x = amt required to sell for an income or 3000
.09(x-1900) + 1000 = 3000
.09x - 171 + 1000 = 3000
.09x + 829 = 3000
.09x = 3000 - 829
.09x = 2171
x = 2171/.09
x = $24,122.22 sales for a $3000 income
