1. Find the perimeter AND area of a rectangular raft that has a length of 10 ft and a width of 14 feet.
P=2*10+2*14=20+28=48 FT. ANS. FOR THE PERIMETER.
aREA=12*14=168 FT^2. ANS. FOR THE AREA.
2. Find the perimeter AND area of a square plot of land that measures 45 yards to a side.
P=4*45=180 ANS. YDS.
AREA=45^2=2,025 YDS.^2.
3.Find the area of a triangular sail with a base of 16 feet and a height of 40 feet.
AREA=16*40/2=640/2=320 FT^2 ANS.
4.Find the area of a circular pool cover with a radius of 14 feet.
AREA=PIR^2=3.4*7^2=3.14*49=153.86 FT^2 ANS.
5. Find the circumference of the circular pool cover described in Thursday�s problem.
