At full speed an airplane can travel 2800 miles with the wind in 4 hours but it requires 7 hours to travel the same distance against the wind. In miles per hour what is the maximum speed of the plane in air?
------------------
2800/4 = 700 mph
2800/7 = 400 mph
The airspeed is the average = (700+400)/2
= 550 mph
