Question 305013: I am having a hard time with something, could someone help please? How much money is 1.6 million dollars? I can't figure out if it should be $1,500,000 or $1,750,000, or something else altogether. I'm supposed to be working on line-item, performance, and program budgets and I can't get past this, great huh? I'd really appreciate some help, thanks a lot.

ten dollars = $10
one hundred dollars = $100
one thousand dollars = $1,000
ten thousand dollars = $10,000
one hundred thousand dollars = $100,000
one million dollars = $1,000,000
You need to add .6 million to this to make
1.6 million dollars
.6 = 6/10
(6/10) x 1,000,000 = 600,000 and
1,000,000 + 600,000 = 1,600,000 answer
