: Three-fifths of the men in chemistry class have beards and two-thirds of the women have long hair. If there are 120 men in the class and 46 are not in the above groups, how many men and how many women are there in the class?
I have the answer but I can't figure out how to get it. I've done it a zillion different ways and get nothing close. This question is from textbook

If there are 120 men in the class, and 3/5 have beards,
then have beards.
The remaining do not have beards
There are already 48 who are not in one of the bearded
or long-haired groups, so 46 is too low. Was there a
misprint or copy error?
