Question 125242: Amy paid $70.58 for a pair of running shoes during a 35% off sale. What was the original cost?
Answer by dolly(163) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the original cost be $ x
discount = 35%
So selling price = 0.65 x
==> 0.65 x = 70.58
==> x = 70.58/0.65
= $108.58
good luck
