Divide the next number by the previous number.

Do it as many times as possible and compare the quotients in order for to make sure that they are all equal.

"Find the common ratio..." implies that the series is geometric, but it is not.

Without doing any actual calculations, it is easy to see that the second term is less than the first but the third term is greater than the second, so there is no common ratio.

The problem, or perhaps the presentation of the problem, is flawed.

If you have presented the problem incorrectly, then re-post; if you have presented it correctly, then the problem is faulty and can't be solved.
