        1.   Short Physics solution

Their rate of separation is  25 + 35 = 60 km/h,

so the process will take = 2 hours.

        2.   Long Algebra solution

Write the distance equation

    25t + 35t  = 120  kilometers

    (25 + 35)t = 120

        60t    = 120

          t    = 120/60 = 2 hours.    ANSWER
