Question 1187081: 2. A product is assembled from the three components C1, C2 and C3. The probabilities of these components being defectives are in ratio 1:2:3. What is the probability that the assembled product (i) will be defective (ii) will not be defective?

As formulated in the post,  the problem is  INCOMPLETE  in mathematical sense.

It is incomplete,  BECAUSE  it does not contain a criterion stated in the problem,  when the assembly is considered as defective.

As this problem is formulated and posed,  it becomes clear that a person who created it  (so called "composer")
is unfamiliar with the probability theory,  in whole,  and with similar problems,  in particular.
