Question 1185215: X^2-16 divided by x^2-7x+12
How do I simplify this

Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
facror x^2 - 16 to get (x-4) * (x+4)
factor x^2 - 7x + 12 to get (x-4) * (x-3)
your equation becomes:
[(x-4) * (x+4)] / [(x-4) * (x-3)]
the (x-4) in the numerator and denominator cancel out and you are left with:
(x+4) / (x-3)
