You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

Let x = how much was invested at 10%.

Then 5800-x was invested at 6%.

The total interest equation is

    0.1x + 0.06(5800-x) = 444.

From the equation

    x = %28444-0.06%2A5800%29%2F%280.1-0.06%29 = 2400.      ANSWER

Solved.
