i believe you meant 1200 income per month for the first 8 months.
i'll assume that since, having that as total income for the first 8 months doesn't make a lot of sense.
you have:
1200 for each of the first 8 months.
1200 * .75 = 900 for each of the last 4 months.
this makes total income in 2009 = 1200 * 8 + 900 * 4 = 13200 total income for 2009.
divide that by 1.10 to get 12000 total income in 2008.
divide that by 12 to get 1000 average monthly income in 2008.
