Each ticket cost $2.Anthony sold half of the tickets while Cowell and Nigel sold the remaining tickets in the ratio of 2:3 respectively. Anthony sold 66 more tickets then Cowell. How many tickets did they sell altogether??

Cowell sold 2x tickets;  Nigel sold 3x tickets.


2x + 3x = 5x is half of the tickets, and Anthony sold the other half tickets, which is 5x tickets.


From the condition,  


    5x = 2x + 66,

    3x = 66,

     x = 66/3 = 22.


Altogether, they sold 2x + 3x + 5x = 10x = 10*22 = 220 tickets.    ANSWEWR
