Question 1149934: Hi
Can someone please help with this question
vicky rides a unicycle from home to school. The radius of the wheel of the unicycle is 50 cm, and the distance from home to school is 500 meters. How many times does the wheel of the unicycle need to rotate in order for Vicky to ride from home If vicky can ride 2 m per second, how long does it take for her to ride to school?
Thank you so much in advance.

Answer by rothauserc(4718)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
circumference of the wheel = 2 * pi * r = 2 * (22/7) * 50 = 314.2857 cm = 3.1429 m
:
wheel of unicycle rotates 500/3.1429 = 159.0887 is approximately 159 times
:
rate * time = distance
:
time = distance / rate = 500 /2 = 250 seconds which is 4 minutes and 10 seconds
