some things you need to know.
most scientific calculators only have a sine, cosine, or tangent function.
secant is equal to 1 / cosine.
cosecant is equal to 1 / sine.
cotangent is equal to 1 / tangent.
also:
minutes are equal to degrees divided by 60.
seconds are equal to degrees divided by 3600.
54 degrees and 23 minutes is equal to (54 + 23/60)
35 degrees and 21 minutes and 45 seconds is equal to (35 + 21/60 + 45/3600).
minutes are indicated by the ' symbol.
seconds are indicated by the " symbol.
be sure to see the calculator to degrees.
you can also do the conversion to degees ahead of time.
55 degrees and 21 minutes is equal to 55 + 21/60 which is equal to 54.83333333 degrees.
36 degrees and 10 minutes is equal to 36 + 10/60 = 36.1666666667 degrees.
35 degrees plus 21 minutes plus 45 seconds is equal to 35 + 21/60 + 45/3600 which is equal to 35.3625 degrees.
