some things you need to know.

most scientific calculators only have a sine, cosine, or tangent function.

secant is equal to 1 / cosine.

cosecant is equal to 1 / sine.

cotangent is equal to 1 / tangent.

also:

minutes are equal to degrees divided by 60.

seconds are equal to degrees divided by 3600.

54 degrees and 23 minutes is equal to (54 + 23/60)

35 degrees and 21 minutes and 45 seconds is equal to (35 + 21/60 + 45/3600).

minutes are indicated by the ' symbol.

seconds are indicated by the " symbol.

you can also do the conversion to degees ahead of time.
