Question 1134002: You are in charge of drinks for a community barbecue. You need to supply at least 120 cups of beverage to provide enough for the projected number of people that will attend. So far, you have received the following donations:
Enough mix to make 3 gallons of lemonade
6 bottles of fruit juice that each contain 64 fl. oz.
How many cups of beverage do you have?

Answer by Glaviolette(140)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
There are 128 fl oz in a gallon. So having 3 gallons gives 384 fl oz of lemonade. 6 bottles of 64 fl oz is another 384 fl oz. That’s a total of 768 fl oz. assuming the cups are 8 oz, 768 divided by 8 is only 96 servings. If the cups are bigger, that’s even less servings. Therefore, you do not have enough.
